District Employment Exchange
Overview of District Employment Exchange, Barpeta:-
The Directorate of Employment & Craftsman Training under the Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, has 2 (two) wings – a) Training Wing b) the Employment Wing
.The Training Wing implements the Craftsman training Scheme and Apprenticeship Training through the Industrial Training Institute with the objective to provide Semi Skilled workers to Industry by systematic training.
The Employment Exchanges is under the Employment Wing. The Employment Exchanges render Employment Assistance to the Job Seekers. Under the initiative various career counselling and Skill Development is offered to the Job Seekers. The Registration in Employment Exchanges can be done through on line using https://employment.assam.gov.in/
Apart from this to Wings the Assam Skill Development Mission – ASDM was also set up under the aeigis of Skill employment and Entrepreneurship Department. The Vision of the Mission is capacity building of the Un Employed youth and to deliver quality Skill Training leading to meaningful employment.
