A Revenue Village is a small administrative region in India, a village with defined borders. Each revenue village is headed by a responsible officer known as "Gaon Burah". Barpeta district has 6 (Six) number of revenue circles viz. 1. Barpeta 2. Chenga 3.Baghbar 4. Kalgachia 5.Sarthebari 6. Barnagar revenue circle.
